Please join LabCorp as a FULL TIME PHLEBOTOMY FLOAT. This is a benefits eligible position with a $500 SIGN ON BONUS. $250 paid out after hire and the other $250 paid out after 6 months of employment, less all applicable taxes and withholdings. Only external candidates are eligible for the sign on bonus.

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Coverage of physician offices and patient service center when usual phlebotomist is out

  • Support other phlebotomists with questions and training needs

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed

  • Potential Saturday rotation


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

  • 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist (Proficiency in the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws)

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Dependable individual who's comfortable working under minimal supervision

  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

  • Willing to travel to rural areas to provide coverage as needed.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Proficient with computers

  • Pass a standardized color vision test

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Able to handle/present self in a professional manner when dealing with the clients and the patients in a clinical office setting

  • Flexibility to assist with other sites as needed.




Hours will vary between 7:00 AM- 6:00 PM Monday through Friday depending on the site covering. Must work overtime as business requires it
