Labcorp Regional EHS Manager in South Charleston, West Virginia

The Regional EHS Manager for the Charleston Laboratory will function as the Safety Officer for the Charleston lab, as well as a resource for all employees within the 9-state North Central Division. division. This role will also ensure employees are complying with EHS policies, and see that the lab is prepared for CAP and CLIA inspections; additionally, will respond to employee concerns.

Job Duties include:

  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance

  • Investigation and documentation of employee injuries

  • Being the Chair of the Charleston Safety Committee

  • Assist/facilitate inspections

  • Function as a liaison between Charleston and the Divisional EHS Officer and Corporate EHS

  • Follow-up on employee concerns and complaints

  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screening

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Prior experience working specimens, or within a clinical laboratory

  • Prior supervisor and leadership experience


  • BA/BS degree required, Prefer degree in EHS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience; 5+ years preferred

  • Previous experience leading/managing people is strongly preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations

  • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills




Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM
