Laboratory Corporation of America Technologist Trainee in Shelton, Connecticut
Performs tests and analyses in an entry level capacity according to established testing procedures in designated technical department. Gains knowledge of department procedures and operations.
- B.S./B.A. Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science as required by CLIA. Candidate will need to provide official transcripts to be credentialed through the LabCorp National Office of Quality before being hired.
Previous experience working in a lab.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Far acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more; near acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; depth perception-ability to judge distance and space relationships; color vision-ability to distinguish and identify different.
Knowledge of hazardous waste characteristics, hazardous waste volume generation limits, accumulation limits, spill control measures, record keeping, proper handling and container management, labeling, container and storage inspection.
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
2nd Shift Tuesday-Saturday 6:00pm-2:30am
