Laboratory Corporation of America Histotechnologist in Shelton, Connecticut
Performs technical duties related to production and staining of histopathological slides, specializing in Oncology tissue samples.
Performs over 250 IHC testing protocols using three different vendor platforms.
Utilizes precision microtomy technique to preserve patient samples.
Gain knowledge in cutting edge IHC techniques and development of new protocols.
Imaging for breast cancer analysis.
Limited Grossing and processing of bone marrow samples.
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree w/1-3 years of experience in Histology and meet all licenses necessary for Histology or Associates Degree with 5+ years experience.
ASCP Board eligible or ASCP certification as a Histotechnologist. Candidate will be credentialed through the LabCorp National Office of Quality before being hired. Board eligible candidate will be required to complete the board exam within one year of employment. Ability to work in a team environment, in a laboratory that is operational 24/7.
1st Shift Tuesday-Saturday 12:00pm-8:30pm
