Laboratory Corporation of America Histology Senior Technologist in Shelton, Connecticut

The Technologist is responsible for the accurate processing of specimens and the timely submission of completed cases into the correct laboratory department. This includes labeling test slides and controls from requisitions/worksheets and requests from pathologists and inter-laboratory departments. He/She performs the duties of the general Histology laboratory to include paraffin microtomy, tissue processing and embedding, routine H&E and special staining.

Requirements

License/Certification/Education: This position requires a Medical Technologist Degree or equivalent and city/state licenses or permits to qualify as a Technologist w/4+ years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory. Must meet CLIA requirements.
