Labcorp Phlebotomy Float - Hospital in Seattle, Washington

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist float to work on our hospital team in a Quaternary care facility in the Swedish Ballard campus and Swedish Cherry Hill campus. In this role you will cover for vacant and vacationing peers at two locations; while providing exceptional customer service and performing skilled specimen collections. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within a global organization with Labcorp.

Due to the critical nature of this role, a qualified external candidate will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus, if hired before 11/1/2021.

Work Schedule: M-F with rotating weekend. Hours may vary between 05:00 a.m. and 07:30 p.m.

Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Locations: Swedish Ballard - 5300 Tallman Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107 and Swedish Cherry Hill - 550 17th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • follow strict Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for Phlebotomy License filed with Washington Department of Health at time of hire

  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Physically able to be on your feet and/or walking for long periods of your shift
