Strategic Director

LabCorp is seeking a Strategic Director to lead efforts in developing and implementing regional growth strategies including divisional lead generation and communication plan working in collaboration with multiple stakeholders across LabCorp. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.


Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Market Analysis: Understanding, analyzing and developing meaningful market assessments that informs go-to-market strategy and solutions development

  • Customer Voice: Drive comprehensive understanding of regional customer needs and priorities and using this to provide accurate and actionable customer voice to guide decision making.

  • Competitive Analysis: Compiling valuable competitive intelligence and anticipate competitive threats that facilitates compelling value propositions

  • Regionalization and Customization: Develop regional approach to implement global market and test launch plan including regional segmentation, targeting and positioning

  • Partner with Leadership and corporate team to develop and implement regional and segment strategies

  • Ensure division customer needs are well represented in developing overall LabCorp marketing strategy

Demand Generation and Communication:

  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement lead generation strategies resulting in division growth

  • Thought Leadership: Identify key opinion leaders and work with the team to develop influence strategy

  • Sales Collateral: Evaluate field needs and define and implement requirements for sales collateral that powerfully communicates the value proposition

  • Partner with MarCom team to develop and implement divisional communication plan and sales collateral

  • Partners closely with leadership, marketing and marcom at division and enterprise level to align and execution throughout the organization

  • Ensure division customer needs are well represented in developing overall LabCorp marketing strategy


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field and minimum of 7 years' experience in strategic and regional marketing. MBA degree preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare or life sciences industry

  • Proven experience in building and implementing marketing and communication plan

  • Excellent business acumen, strategic planning, analytical, communication, project management, and change management skills.

  • Prior experience managing programs or projects with proven success.




Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
