LabCorp Specialty division has an exciting opportunity for a National Sales Leader. This Sales Manager will lead sales teams across multiple specialties by developing and implementing effective sales strategies and creating a culture of success to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have diagnostic sales leadership experience, a demonstrated track record of success, the capacity to translate vision into reality, and the ability to socially influence to maximize the efforts of others.

This is a field based management position responsible for multiple sales teams. Approximately 50% overnight domestic travel required. Position can be located anywhere in the US, with a preference in the eastern US.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct effective business analysis and planning

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop high performing sales teams

  • Implement high level business development with national and international organizations

  • Prioritize field time to provide individual direction, coaching, and feedback to sales teams to drive performance

  • Maximize collaboration with internal scientific, customer service, sales, contracts, and product management teams

  • Participate at regional and national sales meetings and professional society meetings/conferences

  • Implement applicable corporate and regulatory policies

  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to optimally position product portfolios

  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where needed

  • Support sales teams with key customer relationships and in closing strategic opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in business or scientific discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales leadership experience

  • 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry; diagnostics preferred

  • Hospital/transplant/coagulation sales/management experience a plus

  • Ability to optimize processes to support sales team effectiveness

  • Strategic thinker who has developed innovative ways to achieve goals and foster accountability and overachievement

  • High standards of performance and integrity

  • Effective communicator within and across functional organizations

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment within a rapidly growing organization with high levels of drive, energy, and commitment

  • Ability to travel 50%
