Laboratory Corporation of America Clinical Laboratory Analytics Project Manager in Raritan, New Jersey

We are currently seeking a Clinical Laboratory PM Project Manager- with a unique blend of business and technical acumen, a solid understanding of clinical laboratory operations and processes including experience in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing. As part of the process you and your group will also work closely with allied departments within the company, research and evaluate complex projects and assignments requiring knowledge and experience in supply chain management, lab efficiencies and LEAN engineering.

The successful candidate must have 5+ years of progressive experience in complex project management, coordination and problem solving. The job will require extensive professional interaction with customers, internal stakeholders, and strong leadership and relationship building skills to effectively manage projects, activities and initiatives that drive efficiencies for the engagement team and reduce time to deliver services to clients, with a focus on maintaining the highest quality standards. You will be organized, detail oriented, flexible and have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. In particular, the ability to effectively collaborate interdepartmentally and hit all project milestones is paramount!

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide information required to make effective business decisions, translates requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools.

  • Provide analytic reports and consultative support to a broad spectrum of internal customer areas and external clients.

  • Performs modeling of data sources and flows, works with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define best practice, develop and implement policies and framework to ensure high quality cost efficient operations.

  • Creates and/or develops new methods of analysis, database design and performance measurement or, in some cases, adaptation of existing solutions to new areas.

  • Develop and foster internal relationships across the organization, collaborating with the front end systems (logistics, phlebotomy, branch operations, accessioning), finance, business development, quality, and information technology as necessary to achieve organization goals.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge about laboratory service divisions and utilize that knowledge identify efficiencies and provide recommendations to improve the service offered.

  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Estimate the resources and fiscal budget needed to achieve project goals.

  • Facilitate vendor contracts as needed.


  • BA/BS in Healthcare Field, Business, IT/ MIS, or related discipline

  • 5 years of experience in healthcare or manufacturing arena

  • 2 years of experience in data analysis, report writing, and relational database functions

  • Significant leadership experience of both technical and non-technical individuals, preferably with healthcare related software and systems

  • A strong background and experience in clinical laboratory and/or healthcare related software and systems preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and/or SQL Developer

  • Certificate in Microsoft Access, SQL, is preferred

  • Certificate in Project Management, LEAN 6-Sigma Black belt, a plus

  • Strong data analytics & project management skills
