Laboratory Corporation of America Maintenance Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona
Responsible for the Repair and Maintenance of all machines and equipment installed in the facility, to include electrical installations, carpentry, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, and offer facility controls
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventative maintenance.
Accurate record keeping and documentation of all repairs, maintenance, and service.
Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside contractors.
Notify leadership concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
Assists in training new employees
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/3-4 years of experience.
Related cerifications a plus
Sun - Thur 10am - 7pm. Must be able to train days Mon - Fri 7a - 4pm for approx. 3 mo.
