Laboratory Corporation of America Genomics Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (AZ - 2nd Shift) in Phoenix, Arizona
Supervise the lab operations of the Genomics Department, including accurate delivery of patient results, competency assessments, continuing education, and positive morale of laboratory staff.
Attend staff and management meetings and oversee daily lab operations
Monitor daily workflow in the lab, planning / scheduling for adequate assay coverage, and troubleshooting / escalating problems, as necessary
Supervise, train and mentor laboratory staff. Supervise, train and mentor laboratory staff. Assisting with the hiring of qualified, enthusiastic employees
Work closely and cooperatively with the Lab Manager and other department supervisor(s), as well as Clinical Trials, R&D, and supervisors / staff in support departments

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or other science related field and 16 Credit Hours of Biology, 16 Hours of Chemistry & 3 Hours of Math
Approximately 5 years of clinical laboratory or production experience preferred
2 years of Supervisory Experience
Must be able to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
This does start as a 2nd shift position and move to 3rd shift after training is complete.
