Laboratory Corporation of America Flow Cytometry Technologist/Analyst (1st Shift) in Phoenix, Arizona

We are seeking a Senior Technologist to join our Cytometry lab team in Phoenix, AZ! This position will be responsible for analyzing Leukemia and Lymphoma cases.

This position will have first shift hours from 6:00AM-2:30PM, Tuesday - Saturday.


  • Performs routine and moderate to complex tests and analyses according to established procedures in designated technical department.

  • Preparation of serum blood and/or urine samples for analysis by LC/MS.

  • Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors and unusual results; interpret results to produce a final report.

  • Evaluates new procedures or methods under direct supervision of department supervisor or group leader.

  • Maintain, calibrate, and clean instrumentation; perform scheduled and as needed maintenance and critical function checks recognizing significant changes in instrument function; trouble shoot as indicated.

  • Perform required QC/QA duties including: following quality control rules; monitor controls for error detection and take corrective action; maintain laboratory records, maintenance logs, quality control charts, reagent and standard logs, and worksheets.

  • Perform SRS and reference accept functions as required.

  • Assists in training and orientation of personnel as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.



  • Requires B.A./B.S. in Biology or relatable life science to include completion of 16 credit hours of Biology, 16 credit hours of Chemistry, and 3 credit hours of math.

  • 6 years of experience in a lab

  • 2 years of Flow Cytometry Analysis experience with a focus on Leukemia/Lymphoma assessments..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Medical Technology (MT) or ASCP

  • Computer and technical strength

  • Strong Instrument Experience




Tuesday - Saturday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
