LabCorp reported net revenues of over $10 billion in 2017. We are seeking a Specialty Lab Assistant for our Histology lab located in Overland Park, KS. This position will work both in the processing of cytology samples for testing, as well as working in the accessioning department to receive samples. Prior experience in a lab setting is preferred, and the ability to work as part of a team is required. Job Duties Include: * Processing of Histology samples by loading them into instrumentation to make slides * Running image guided slides through imager to prepare for testing * Handling/Processing/Centrifugation of laboratory specimens, primarily blood and urine specimens * Data entry of specimen information in a measured production environment * Extended sitting or standing for up to 4 hour intervals, for an 8 shift, plus any required overtime, * Very fast paced environment with productivity guidelines to meet * Daily overtime required as needed * Must meet productivity standards after 90 days of employment * May require carrying, lifting (up to 25 pounds) reaching, grasping and fine manipulation with two hands, flexibility, and multi-tasking skills.
License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-2 years of experience.
