Laboratory Corporation of America Commercial Development Executive - New York, NY in New York, New York

Our leading diagnostics organization is in need of an experienced and resourceful Commercial Development Executive to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new healthcare markets. We're searching for professionals that have a solid track record of creating long-term relationships with larger commercial healthcare customers in the Metro NY market. We're looking for true hunter sales professionals who are customer-obsessed and ready to solve the changing needs of our clients. Candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across functions to drive successful implementations and customer satisfaction. Successful applicants should also be willing to travel.

  • Responsible for developing customers with multi-level decision makers that cut across multiple territories and require a more complicated sell;

  • Serve as the lead contact in ongoing support for these customers on ongoing basis

  • Develop market based strategic plans based upon evolving trends and opportunities

  • Ability to lead large scale projects in onboarding new customers

  • Responsible for collaborating with internal functions to understand current services and market them to large customers

  • Develop innovative customer-focused solutions in response to customer needs in order to successfully bring aboard large customers

  • Work in collaboration with other sales representatives in the division to leverage relationships and knowledge to expedite the sales process

  • Work directly with all internal teams- laboratory, IT, sales, managed care, marketing, customer service, operations- to develop market-specific strategies and implementations

  • Educate these above internal teams regarding emerging trends in the market

  • Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with monthly and quarterly goals

  • Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territory

  • Develop and build business plans to meet annual and quarterly needs

  • Maintain accounts and provide ongoing customer support for current customer base

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors degree; concentration in Business is preferred

  • 7-10 years of commercial development in the diagnostics/lab industry

  • Previous laboratory or diagnostics sales experience highly preferred

  • Prior experience working with, or selling to highly complex, C-Suite level customers is required

  • Proven success managing a book of business

  • Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments

  • Ability to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the business

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Strong leadership, consultative selling and closing skills;

  • Ability to travel throughout territory; 5 boroughs of NYC

  • Must posses valid driver's license with a clean driving record
