Laboratory Corporation of America Integrated Oncology National Director - GPO Sales (Location is flexible) in Nashville, Tennessee

Integrated Oncology, a LabCorp Specialty Testing Group, provides reference anatomic pathology, hematopathology and molecular pathology testing services to hospitals, health systems and independent oncology practices. Integrated Oncology is focused on providing world class solutions to better the lives of patients living with cancer.

The Integrated Oncology Director for GPO will be responsible for managing relationships with key Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). The objective is to establish relationships with stake holders within the GPOs and their members. The Director of GPO will establish and execute programs that drive growth for Integrated Oncology's tests and deliver innovative solutions that will solidify LabCorp & Integrated Oncology as a provider differentiated services to the GPOs and their membership. The position will be responsible for managing accounts nationwide. Location in Nashville, TN is not required but frequent travel to that market as well as Dallas, TX will be expected. Candidate can be located in any major city in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with leadership with key GPOs for LabCorp's oncology division, Integrated Oncology

  • Identify target segments / regions within GPO membership and develop and implement national/regional strategies to expend penetration of Integrated Oncology tests and services

  • Work with GPO membership to identify areas of improvement related to management of oncology care and associated laboratory diagnostics

  • Define GPO member customer requirements for laboratory diagnostics testing, client technical solutions and data/analytical services

  • Deliver regular business reviews with key GPO customers and their members to review utilization, performance metrics, project/program status, and budget / spending /savings opportunities

  • Act as the subject matter expert in pathology and oncology for LabCorp's hospital and health system team when interacting with National accounts

  • Integrate with regional sales leadership to track GPO segment performance and sales pipeline activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific or business discipline

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the diagnostic healthcare including account management, consultative sales and C-suite negotiations

  • Experience in the selling of oncology care and related laboratory diagnostics preferred

  • Leadership, innovation, high close rate for new sales, organizational skills, time management, influence and customer focus are all crucial competencies for this role

  • Conceptual-selling experience of healthcare content or related technical, data analytics informatics software and/or IT products and value propositions

  • Demonstrated success in generating new sales through C-suite interactions and by providing direction to field resources who report to other leaders

  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence: comfortable interacting and presenting with senior executives of health systems

  • Travel 50%: Ability to drive/fly routinely including overnight visits as required
