Our Lab Benefit Management and Physician Decision Support will offer a comprehensive suite of solutions and applications:

  1. Access to a broad, high-quality laboratory network meeting quality and performance criteria and delivering comprehensive laboratory services

  2. Online and easily accessible clinical and benefit management tools for laboratory testing designed to improve patient care

  3. Online Physician Decision Support and Multi-lab Ordering System that provides physicians with streamlined, point-of-order access to current guidelines for test selection and laboratory selection

  4. Accepting financial responsibility for all outpatient laboratory services provided to customers' patients or members and delivering savings through BeaconLBS® product solutions

Primary Responsibilities

  • Outreach to Laboratories and Physician Offices

  • Web research to obtain information and identify contacts

  • Phone calls and emails to encourage them to attend training on applicable programs

  • Facilitate and/or present web-based training

  • Document client interactions in SharePoint and/or SalesForce

  • Test Directory Maintenance

  • Evaluate lab credentials for eligibility for programs

  • Obtain key information and register labs

  • Request and receive lab test directory

  • Identify and communicate tests covered under our programs

  • Ongoing Support

  • Provide on-going assistance and answer questions

  • Escalate reported issues and track to resolution

  • Document all applicable events in the SharePoint or SalesForce tracking system

  • Claims Monitoring

  • Help labs understand claim requirements

  • Notify labs of ongoing claim issues so they can be corrected

General Requirements

  • Apply Beacon's Standard Operating Procedures to daily work

  • Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in all concepts and technical applications

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and workflows

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

  • Occasional travel may be required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 3+ years of: provider relations, customer service, laboratory operations, managed care, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong research and analytical skills, detail-oriented

  • Strong customer relations skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Teams and web-based presentation applications a plus

  • Experience using SharePoint or SalesForce
