Laboratory Corporation of America Data Analytics Manager in McLeansville, North Carolina


Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day systems control analytics for the Revenue Cycle Management ("RCM") Compliance Operations team. Position includes overseeing processes for monitoring billing system claim movement and master data, analyzing payer policy related data, and analyzing disparate data needs and scenarios to solve new business problems.


  • Manages and develop team of 5 plus data analysts focused on analytics development throughout the revenue life cycle; point of order and lab enrollment, through claim submission and adjudication, to refunds and recoupments

  • Oversee team analysis of

  • Impact of payer policy changes and alert levels for RCM Leadership

  • payer policy adherence and consistency

  • diversions from standard specimen life cycle

  • payer refund and audit findings, response, and extrapolation potential

  • Be the driver of team analysis in

  • development of data models and policy metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals

  • connecting multiple data sources within a single data environment

  • complex, mixed method evaluations

  • developing key performance indicators (KPI) for specific changes, initiatives, projects

  • setting standards for total view and repeatability of analysis

  • Manage control of system process checks: LCBS drops and suspends, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls, out of balance specimens, specimen brothering,

  • Manage control of system master data related to International Classification of Disease (ICD) and consuming processes; timely input and metrics comprehension

  • Represent RCM Compliance Operations on key RCM initiatives, industry changes, or problems; including definition and implementation of processes (manual or IT rules for system) necessary to solve the business situation

  • Initiate improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of the work performed on assigned projects or programs

  • Facilitate collaborative approach within team to generate clear, cohesive, and innovative outputs


License/Certification/ Education: Normally a B.A./B.S. Degree in related field w/5-7 years of experience.

  • Knowledge of data collection and analytics techniques and tools

  • (strongly recommended) working knowledge with SAS analytics software, Enterprise Guide

  • Strong data and data output organization and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate and work with team members

  • (preferred) knowledge of training methods/theory for developing team

  • (Preferred) Prior experience or training in management or leadership




Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
