Laboratory Corporation of America Billing Test System Analyst in McLeansville, North Carolina

LabCorp is seeking a Billing Test System Analyst for its Mcleansville, N.C. location.


  • Evaluates and analyzes billing system enhancement projects and testing assignments. Possesses and /or assertively obtains the knowledge and experience required to validate enhancements to identify and measure process impacts, financial implications, and technical applications.

  • Participates in requirement sessions with business operations and IT team to define and documents business requirements.

  • Troubleshoots system issues for resolution.

  • Creates and executes User Acceptance test plans that integrates business, functional, and technical components.

  • Documents test results and reviews with business end users for approval.

  • Creates and presents Test Strategies and Test Summaries to management

  • Utilizes system tools and resources to conduct data analysis and system validation related to assigned projects.

  • Assists with the preparation of user documentation and training for system enhancements

  • Proposes recommendations to management which may include compiling, analyzing, and evaluating data.

  • Pro-actively identifies potential roadblocks, analyzes and proposes solutions to management.

  • Collaborates with Business Analyst and Software Developer frequently for requirements and issues clarification.

  • Acts as a voice for the business users when vetting issues with IT

  • Maintains a log of data tested that displays the number of passes, fails, and defects identified.

  • Determines each type of defect along with severity and frequency.

  • Conducts end-to-end integration testing and assures software delivered meets requirements and expectations


License/Certification/Education: Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent w/3-5 years of User Acceptance Testing and System Validation.


  • Thorough knowledge of PC systems operation and software

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient at managing multiple projects

  • Basic understanding of billing in the Health Care industry, including HIPAA

  • Basic understanding of the software development life cycle and user acceptance testing

  • Experience working with defect tracking tool, i.e. JIRA, HEAT, and SBM.

  • Initiative, persistence, and drive.

  • Confidence in their own abilities and skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
