Laboratory Corporation of America Research Associate in Lorton, Virginia

Will Support researchers and or supervisors across multiple contracts within the Forensic Research and Support Group (Government R&D). Will become proficient in numerous forensic and human identification related protocols and procedures and will cross train in specific responsibilities across multiple programs. Additional duties may include forensic and human ID related research and or testing, lab and lab equipment maintenance and documentation.

Performs research and/or development in collaboration with others on projects. Integrates, complies, and tabulates data and assists supervisor in the analysis and interpretation of the results. Provides reports to managers regarding project status and other information. Recommends measures to managers to improve experiments, methods, equipment performance and quality.

Requirements

A B.S. in Biology/Chemistry/Micro/Forensic Science with 1-2 years experience. M.S. Degree w/0-2 years of experience preferred. High level of attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication and organization skills. A Security Clearance is required for this position .
