Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a core clinical lab environment.
Evalutates specimens and test results for quality and accuracy, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.
Run and monitors calibrations and quality control before running patient testing
Reviews slides and wet preps on the microsope, performs immunology kit testing, and runs multiple chemistry analyzers
Performs protein electrophoresis and molecular testing
Communicates with various departments, team members, and clients in this client oriented line of work
Works closely with specimen processing, customer service, and referrals departments within the lab to explain concerns with specimens from clients
Problem-solves and follows standard operating procedures consistently to provide quality results.
An Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
1-3 years experience.
Proficient in Computers
Flexible to work an average of 5-7 hours of overtime per week as needed
Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
Experience working in a fast paced repetitive environment
A task and result oriented self-starter
Able to multi-task
Strong attention to detail
Monday through Friday 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM with a weekend and holiday rotation
