As An Outside Field Representative, This Position Will
Manage growth and retention in the assigned territory: Chicago East / South Bend / Michigan.
This position will be responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of the Oncology and Laboratory Corporation of America (LCA) commercial products to clinicians and department personnel for their assigned geographic territory.
The SDE provides direct sales and services primarily to hospitals, pathologists, oncologists, and hematologists.
This is a true hunter role, and the candidate is expected to prospect, develop and close his or her own sales targets on a monthly basis. Responsibilities:
Sell Oncology laboratory testing services to professionals
Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territory
Successfully build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates
Cold call and build a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement
Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with a 90-day quota
Effectively manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Science background highly desired
Minimum of 5 years' medical outside sales experience required including business to business
Previous experience selling directly to Physicians required
Healthcare experience and relationships with hospital systems, oncologists, hematologists and academic centers also preferred
Previous laboratory or diagnostics sales experience highly preferred
Medical device sales experience also considered
Proven success managing a book of business
Ability to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the business
Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments
Strong consultative selling and closing skills
Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
