Colorado Coagulation, part of LabCorp Specialty Testing Group is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to work in its Special Coagulation department in Englewood, CO! Colorado Coagulation is an internationally recognized leader in the field of hemostasis. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Schedules laboratory personnel to ensure that all operational tasks, especially the setting of assays, are completed in a timely manner.

  • Helps coordinate clinical trials studies and schedules special assays.

  • Analyzes daily work processes with an eye towards improving efficiencies.

  • Addresses problems that arise on a daily basis.

  • Promotes quality in accordance with CLIA and other regulatory requirements.

  • Responds to emails regarding sample problems or issues.

  • Identifies pending tests and assures that they are processed in a timely manner.

  • Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.

  • Supervises staff including coaching, performance management, competency assessment, training, interviewing and hiring.

  • Documents all activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Takes a proactive approach in the testing process to ensure that turnaround time is met.

  • Reviews and writes Standard Operating Procedures.

Starting pay is $37.00/hr and commensurate with experience. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Company bonus where applicable.


  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a Science related major

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory

  • ASCP and/or AMT Certification is required

  • Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations

  • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment

  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
