Oversees the operations and administration of several departments within a LEVEL I laboratory environment. The Lab Manager is responsible for all aspects of laboratory operations, including technical department, with some involvement with some other in other parts of the supply chain to include accessioning, referrals and specimen management. The incumbent will ensure established procedures and process are followed. The Lab Manager will serve as a liaison between clients and the laboratory, researching and responding in a timely manner. This position will also maintain readiness for inspections to include internal audits, CAP inspections and ISO 15189 surveillence. The Lab Manager will also handle the daily operations reports and meetings, and will keep Senior management apprised of any problems within this operation.
License/Certification/Education: Requires a B.S./B.A. Degree w/3-5 years of experience and must meet CLIA requirements. Preferred requirements are: 5-10 years of experience with a degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology.
