Laboratory Corporation of America Senior Business Analyst in Burlington, North Carolina
Labcorp's Transformational Technology group seeks a seasoned Business Analyst who is passionate about improving how employees interact with the technologies needed to perform their job duties. The ideal candidate will bring a user-focused mindset to implementing cutting-edge technologies at an enterprise scale.
Experience:
Proven ability to apply Design Thinking concepts to incorporate user feedback into an iterative software development cycle
Experience in understanding how to interpret customers' business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Experience in grooming stories in preparation for the development cycle
Prior development background a plus
Tasks:
Conduct user observations and stakeholder workshops to extract business requirements
Partner with User Experience Architects to ensure features enhance efficiency and streamline user workflows
Work with project managers, developers, and product owners to create strategic development roadmaps based on stakeholder priorities and business goals
Collaborate with development and QA to compose Behavior Driven Design test scenarios (Gherkin / Cucumber)
Route user feedback and problem reports for proper escalation and prioritization
Create process and user workflow diagrams
Manage Jira Kanban boards with team updates
Break down user stories into tasks ready for the development cycle
Perform demos and software training on newly developed features
Requirements
License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science w/7+ years of experience.
Skills:
Superb critical thinking skills
Knowledge of business process modeling and redesign concepts
Ability to facilitate meetings and develop professional presentations
Familiarity with project management principles, such as scope, deliverables, timelines, and cost / benefits
Strong ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to achieve project goals
Ability to communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications
