Laboratory Corporation of America QA Analyst/Software-EC263 in Burlington, North Carolina
The QA is responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of system and integration testing in simple and complex implementations. They will work collaboratively with the IT department to execute and validate test cases based upon system and application requirements.
This position will focus on test automation and require development skillsets and extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing and overseeing automated solutions for data applications. They will develop and maintain test data repositories using test data tools or back-end databases such as Hadoop, HANA, IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and other database platforms.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with Functional testing, Automation Methodologies or application programming in Java, Python and SQL.
Experience in various test cycles including, but not limited to -- Functional, Regression, Performance and UAT
Solid understanding of SQL, stored procedures and ad-hoc query development. Comprehensive understanding of relational databases.
Experience in validating data using SQL, database comparison tools, scripts and automate those validations
Prior experience in using Hadoop and its eco-system. Experience in data lake/ data warehouse is preferred
Having healthcare data (HL7, FHIR ) experience is plus.
Ability to apply automation testing across middleware components such as IBM Message Queues, IIB service layers, etc.
Experience with performance test tools such as Load Runner, LoadUI NG, Visual Studio.
Back end validation of systems on Hadoop, HANA, IBM DB2 (including mainframe), Oracle, SQL Server and other platforms.
Experience with Continuous Integration using Bamboo & Urban Code Deploy or similar tools and Bit Bucket for version control.
Ability to understand how our data relates to our source systems, its relevance to our upstream and downstream applications, and our business.
Must be a team player, able to work with people within and outside of the organization.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as well as exemplary organizational skills
