LabCorp is seeking a IT Technical Specialist- Sr. Golden Gate Administrator for it's Burlington, NC location. We are searching for an Oracle Golden Gate position to help implement Golden Gate data movement across the data fabric at LabCorp, specifically connecting legacy relational transactional databases, and transporting/ingesting data into our new analytic framework on Hadoop and Hana.

LabCorp is currently embarking on a major new effort to reengineer our revenue processes across the company. As part of this initiative the IT department is playing a key role in that effort by retooling to use cutting edge technologies and development processes, The Senior Golden Gate Administrator position will be a key member of this team and will focus on building out the ingestion process as well as the integration of disparate data sources to help the core development teams merge that data into the new system architecture

Summary of Position

LabCorp is looking for a hands-on analyst, technologist and architect who has deep experience in Golden Gate implementation to focus on building out the Golden Gate Data Transport service and will be responsible for:

  • The individual will have experience managing Golden Gate implementation across a large company and transforming the service into a mature mission critical service.

  • Golden Gate Experience with extract for a VLDB (Very Large Database) of size greater than 30 TB

  • Replication troubleshooting for Golden Gate

  • Performance tuning for Golden Gate Extract and replicat processes

  • Architecture experience with cross platform migration for Golden Gate

  • Hands on experience of using Golden Gate in heterogeneous environments, specifically DB2 z/OS, Big data

  • (Cloudera Cluster) and Oracle,

  • Experience with TIS (Transportable Tablespaces)

  • Manage, deploy, and install Oracle Golden Gate in uni-directional and bi-directional modes.

  • Develop models for real time versus periodic data streams,

  • Implement proactive monitoring of the service to guarantee data ingestion success.

  • Troubleshooting and issue resolution for unique/foreign key constraints and other conflicts for replication

  • Experience leveraging Golden Gate to populate a NoSQL Data Lake such as a Hadoop ecosystem.

Requirements

License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a B.S. Degree in Computer Science w/5-7 years of experience.

Specific Areas of Focus Include:

  • Defines data ingestion patterns and standards.

  • Experience participating in ongoing decisions concerning data collections, methodology, and data analysis

  • Establishes standards and guidelines for the design, development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of Golden Gate technology.

  • Experience setting up fine-grained proactive OEM monitoring for production Golden Gate service,

  • A solid understanding of Hadoop, Hana and Data Lake creation,

  • Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT working on mid to large scale projects,

  • 5+ years in a Golden Gate implementation role.

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, development, and data warehousing

  • Experience with Golden Gate ETL processing in high volume transactional environment

  • Familiarity with several data modelling tools, ER/Studio a plus

  • Experience working with an Enterprise, Logical or Analytic Data Warehouse implementation

  • Experience with multiple market leading relational database platforms: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server

  • Strong client interaction and communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Desired Skills:

  • Experience with NoSQL database solutions such as Hadoop 2.0, Mongo, CouchDB

  • Experience with data warehouse modeling including cubes, rollups, snowflake/star schemas.

  • Experience using Golden Gate with DB2/Z0S

  • Application DBA experience

  • Domain experience: Healthcare
